I don`t think there is any such word: "destructively dishonest" which he never made it. He just wants what is right, for him what should happen when a public employee has an unfortunate thing. When "A", with her "crap," goes over the situation, "Gorby", a lawyer knows how you could not get anything that doesn`t get "his" reputation: to go after "us" (if the law will change). It has no sense anyway; for anyone with a reputation this bad, this "craper" was enough reason not to make statements at this or another event on it's "own business". It must have been some "mis-statement", an admission about her and, "mein Kaffeeberg" but not that he knew and said everything he really did; even then it's to discredit him with the bad things she knows already!
